The best pasta salad recipes for a picnic or party

Ingredients

  • 400 g short pasta, such as fusilli or farfalle
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 100 g feta, crumbled
  • 60 g pitted olives, halved
  • Handful of basil and parsley, chopped
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • Salt and black pepper

Method

  1. 01

Cook the pasta in well-salted water until al dente. Drain and rinse briefly under cold water.

  2. 02

Whisk the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper into a dressing.

  3. 03

Toss the warm pasta with half the dressing so it soaks in.

  4. 04

Add the tomatoes, cucumber, olives and herbs.

  5. 05

Toss with the remaining dressing and crumble over the feta.

  6. 06

Chill 20 minutes before serving, or serve at room temperature.
